I am pleased to offer private and group guitar lessons for
students
of all
ages and levels; from 6 years old to adults and
for
beginners to advancing professionals!! For nearly 20 years,
I have
been
proud to help students develop their technique, discipline
and musicality
to become confident musicians.
Whether studying electric or acoustic guitar,
students will
learn fundamentals of music including:

Note reading (notation and tablature)
- Music theory
- Left & right hand techniques

Improvisation

Strumming chords, accompanying
song
- Ear- training
- Flat
picking & finger-picking

Songwriting
-Audition &
competition
preperation

Ensemble skills
Students may help select
the
songs and exercises we practice from their very first
lessons, whether
they play electric or acoustic
guitar! These
diverse exercises
provide an
opportunity for students at all levels to explore a variety
of musical styles
in which the guitar plays a role and offers students the
skills
to participate in virtually any ensemble they wish!!
I provide a
variety of low
pressure performance opportunities for my students and have been
pleased to help my students prepare for successful recitals,
college and scholarship auditions, participation in school and
community ensembles and to continue to play the guitar for years -
whether as enthusiastic amateurs or professional musicians themselves!!
I am also happy to work
with students who encounter
learning
disabilities or visual/aural impairments as well as with English
language/International students.
