I also offer a variety of low pressure performance opportunities for my students and have been pleased to help many students prepare for successful recitals, college and scholarship auditions, participation in school and community ensembles and to continue to play the guitar for years - whether as enthusiastic amateurs or professional musicians themselves!!   I am confident teaching neurodivergent students, students who struggle with learning disabilities or visual/aural impairments, as well as with English language learners and international students and my studio is a welcoming place for all.

  1. What ages do you teach?

    I work with students 5 years old through adult, at every experience level — total beginners to advancing players who are preparing for auditions, recording sessions or performances.

  2. I've never played guitar before. Do you work with beginners?

    Absolutely! I’m happy to work with student at all levels; from complete beginners to advanced students to those revisiting guitar after studying it years ago. Lessons are built around a clear curriculum in music’s fundamentals (rhythm, melody, and notation) but always shaped around what you (or your child) actually want to play.

  3. Do I need my own guitar?

    Yes, you'll want your own instrument for lessons and practice at home. If you're not sure what to buy, I'm happy to point you toward a good beginner option before your first lesson.

  4. Where do lessons take place?

    I teach at two locations in Philadelphia: West Philadelphia @ Calvary Center for Culture & Community (801 S. 48th St.) and Center City @ Temple University’s Music Preparatory (1515 Market St.) — as well as Online / Virtual lessons.

  5. How much do lessons cost?

    Lesson rates vary by location, with lessons at Calvary Center (West Philly)/ Online starting at just $112 per month. Temple rates begin at $160 per month.

  6. How long is each lesson, and how often do we meet?

    I offer 30/45/60 minute weekly lessons. Students reserve a regular weekly session in my schedule.

  7. Do you offer online lessons?

    Yes, online lessons work well for students of any level and are a great option if you don't live near either studio location or simply prefer the flexibility of studying from your home.

  8. What styles of music do you teach?

    Classical, blues, jazz, rock, pop, and traditional styles from around the world. I build lessons around the music you're excited to play, whether that's technique-focused study, playing today’s hits, studying the classics, writing your own tunes, improvisation, or preparing for an audition or performance.

  9. Do you teach students with learning differences or language needs?

    Yes. I have experience teaching English language learners, students with visual or aural impairments and neurodivergent students. I aim to make lessons welcoming for everyone.

  10. Can you help me with: Auditions, Competitions, School Bands, Recording Sessions, Songwriting?

    Absolutely! I have helped many students prepare for recitals, school and community ensembles, and college or scholarship auditions. Likewise, I am also happy to help guide your creative endeavors and
